The Bosch

We've been dreaming of a kitchen mixer for years, but just a few months ago we set our sights on a Bosch and oh have a yearned! We decided instead of buying presents for eachother this year, we'd put money toward the mixer, but it was still going to be a long time before we could afford one. Then this week we got Christmas cards from my dad, Grandma Smith, Grandma Beck, and Renee and Micky and we had our mixer!

Unable to control our joy!

Such a beautiful machine. I love that you can put the ingredients in the top without the blades getting in the way. It has an 800 watt motor compared to 575 watts on Kitchenaid's most expensive mixer. We will be able to make 6 loaves of bread at a time! So far we've made rolls and cake for Christmas Eve. I'm so excited I might puke, but that's not saying much these days.

Update: Devan made some whole wheat bread this morning and it was amazing. So fluffy and it didn't taste wheaty at all. It's a miracle machine!

The downside is that you have nothing left for which to yearn. The upside is that with this newfound cessation of desire, you're eligible to become Buddhists.
